COLUMBUS DONS BASKETBALL PEP RALLY, BUS INFORMATION, AND MORE

Pep Rally: There will be a pep rally/send-off at 2:00 on Wednesday afternoon in the Columbus gym.  All parents/fans are welcome to attend.

DRIVE TO STATE: At the end of the pep rally (approximately 2:45 pm) the boys baskeball team will depart from Columbus High School. They will be escorted through Marshfield to the city limits by Marshfield Police and Marshfield Fire & Rescue Departments.

ROUTE: From Marshfield Columbus High School on S. Columbus Ave., head south. Left on 8th Street to S Oak Ave. Left on S. Oak Ave to Blodgett, past St. John’s School. From Blodgett to Central Ave. At Central Ave turn right on Central Ave. Take Central Ave to the second round-about. The Boys Baskeball team will proceed East on Hwy as they make their way to the WIAA State Boys Basketball Tournament. This will conclude the escort by Marshfield PD and Fire and Rescue.

Note: If train on Central, lead car can choose to go Right at light on Arnold to Oak, or Left on Arnold to Peach to get under the train. Presuming no train, the route is to simply follow Central south out of town.

Area business teamed up with OnFocus to provide FREE FAN GEAR. Starting at noon today, you can pick up your choice of FAN GEAR. Quantities are limited.

150 Rally Towels will be available at Citizen State Bank located on McMillian Ave

250 T-Shirts will be available at Weiler’s Convenience Store located next to Wal-Mart

Starting at 6 pm on Wednesday, Rose Bowl Lanes will have 150 towels avaialble.

300 towels have been provided to the students of Columbus Catholic Schools.

Game information:The boys will play at approximately 10:30 on Friday morning, following the Sheboygan Lutheran – Chippewa Falls McDonell game (that game is at 9:05).  The division five championship game will be at 11:05 on Saturday morning.  Both games will be at the Kohl Center.

LIVE COVERAGE: OnSports (OnFocus and Zaleski Sports Show) will be providing live coverage of the game from Madison.

Ticket information: Tickets can be purchased in the main office at Columbus for $10 each.  Tickets allow you to watch both Division 5 semi-final games (Sheboygan Lutheran vs. Chippewa Falls McDonell and Columbus vs. Bangor).  Tickets will be for sale from 8:00 am until 3:30 pm Monday and Tuesday.  Tickets are for an individual seat, so if you want to sit by someone purchase the ticket at the same time.

Tickets for Saturday’s game will be available at the Kohl Center immediately following the Columbus game.  The Kohl Center will sell tickets for Saturday’s game.  We will not be selling tickets for that game.

Fan bus information: There is a sign-up for the fan bus in the main office.  We will have a coach bus.  The bus cost is $25 (does not include ticket). You need to sign up by Wednesday at noon. The bus will load at 6:00 on Friday morning.  It will leave at 6:10.  The bus will arrive in time to watch both Division 5 semi-final games.  It will leave the Kohl center one hour after the conclusion on the boys’ game.  Students younger than 6th grade can only ride the fan bus with a parent.

There will also be a coach bus for Saturday’s game if we win.  There is a signup in the office.  You need to sign up for the Saturday bus by Wednesday at noon.  If you sign up, it will hold your seat, and you can pay upon loading the bus.  You will still need to purchase a ticket separately, which can be purchased at the Kohl Center at the conclusion of Friday’s game.  Students younger than 6th grade can only ride the fan bus with a parent.
