Edgar vs Mondovi @ Stanley-Boyd

Live Stream: Sports OnFocus

Edgar Wildcats
12-0 1st place Marawood/CWC
Playoff Wins: 21-14 over Loyal/Greenwood, 42-0 over Poynette, 8-7 over Bonduel.
Losses: None

The Edgar Wildcats are looking for their 3rd straight state championship, and moved up a division this year, but have kept things rolling. Their closest regular-season game was a 9-6 win over Marquette Academy of Illinois on a neutral field. The Wildcats have had some scares in the playoffs, though. The 8 seed Loyal/Greenwood gave them a game in Level 1, and it took a crazy 2-point conversion run to get the win in the Sectional Final.

Edgar is led by a turnover-heavy defense that has intercepted 19 passes and recovered 8 fumbles, and has shut out 8 teams this season.

The offense is led by a strong ground game, with Maverick Butt leading the way, rushing for 1074 yards and 16 touchdowns. Gavin Bauer has rushed for 688 yards and 8 touchdowns, and quarterback Tucker Streit has rushed for 130 yards and 6 touchdowns.

Streit has also thrown for 697 yards, 8 touchdowns, and 4 interceptions.

Mondovi Buffaloes
11-1 2nd in the Cloverbelt
Playoff Wins: 41-6 over Abbotsford, 41-12 over Bangor, 35-28 over Regis
Losses: 27-22 @ Regis

Mondovi is looking to get back to Camp Randall for the first time since their 2022 loss to Stratford. They avenged their only loss of the season in the playoffs. Losing to Eau Claire Regis on a Hail Mary in the regular season, to turn around in the Sectional Final and get a 35-28 win.

Mondovi is led by do-it-all sophomore quarterback Bode Falkner, who has completed 60.5% of his passes for 1930 yards, 20 touchdowns, and 2 interceptions, while also rushing for 1211 yards and 19 touchdowns. His prime target in the passing game has been Beau Spindler, who has caught 49 passes for 899 yards and 8 touchdowns.

Sophomore Cameron Gruber and senior Carter Heilk are the other options out of the backfield, rushing for 882 yards and 11 touchdowns. Heilke has rushed for 524 yards and 11 touchdowns.

Darlington is led by their dual-threat quarterback Zeke Zuberbuhler, who has completed 72.6% of his passes for 1239 yards, 16 touchdowns, and only 1 interception, while also rushing for 1027 yards and 16 touchdowns. The Lancers have not faced much of a challenge this season, with only one game being decided by less than a score (Reedsville in week 9) as Manitowoc Lutheran looks to make its first trip to Camp Randall.

Jaymen Ott leads the offensive attack, completing 68.5% of his passes for 1638 yards, 22 touchdowns, and 3 interceptions. His favorite target is Wesley Hecker, who has caught 40 passes for 546 yards and 6 touchdowns.
