Marshfield, WI (OnFocus) A local business will be testing their fire protection equipment on Tuesday, July 2. Starting at 6 a.m., residents on the northwest side of Marshfield may notice discolored water caused by naturally accumulated iron in the water system.

While normal, the discolored water can stain clothing. Marshfield Utilities advises not to wash clothing in the morning especially if discoloration is noticed.

Discoloration can be cleared up by running cold water through the faucet a few minutes or until clear. If the water has not cleared after this time, contact Marshfield Utilities at 715-387-1195.
