Cruise for a Cause Founder Dan Neve Continues Efforts to Raise Funds for Cancer Research

Marshfield, WI (OnFocus) Cruise for a Cause is continuing its efforts to raise funds for cancer research locally with sweepstakes and a T-shirt sale.

Cruise for a Cause founder Dan Neve, who last year donated his largest-ever amount to the Marshfield Clinic Health System Foundation for breast and prostate cancer research, is hosting the online fundraiser while the COVID-19 pandemic prevents him from attending nationwide events for the cause.

“As many know, I usually offer raffle tickets each year on behalf of the Marshfield Clinic Health System, but with the chance of attending shows we decided to go another route, and that was to create a nationwide sweepstakes which we can do online in all 50 states,” said founder Dan Neve. “This does take about 10 percent of the funds raised to offer, which I really hated to commit to, but gives us a chance to still raise funds to support cancer research here locally without knowing how the rest of the year will end up.”

In honor of Memorial Day, from now until the end of Monday, May 25 visit this link to make a donation and enter to win various prizes using the promo code Memorial30 to receive 30 percent more chances to win. Also, order Cruise for a Cause shirts and receive free shipping during this period. The sweepstakes will close November 20.

The COVID-19 pandemic has cancelled or delayed multiple events across the country that Cruise for a Cause would have benefited from, including the Iola Car Show in July, which is why Neve has turned to online fundraising.

“With the Stay at Home policies taking place in pretty much every state, getting out in front of people has come to a halt without any sign of when that may change, since all of the events I attend have huge crowds which would make social distancing very difficult,” said Neve.  “Not having the opportunity to be out in front of people and show what we have and why it matters makes it very difficult to raise funds.”

Fall Ford Fest, a signature event for Cruise for a Cause, is still scheduled for the first weekend in October in Wisconsin Dells. Registration is open and fingers are crossed that the event can take place as planned, Neve said.

This year he hopes to still attend Woodward Dream Cruise, Carlisle All Ford Nationals, Sturgis Mustang Rally and Mustang Week.
