Collection Event Helps Students Have “Best First Day” of School

MARSHFIELD, WI (OnFocus) – As of July 22, 2021, more than 450 Central Wisconsin students have registered for help with clothing for back-to-school. Local community effort “Best First Day” is currently collecting products for this program, which is sponsored by Soup or Socks Food Pantry and Clothes Closet.

A special collection event will be taking place on August 4 at Weiler’s Convenience Store (2005 N Central Ave) from 11:00am-1:30pm. Stone Press Food Truck will be on-site and will be donating a portion of the proceeds to Best First Day.

“It’s a great program that helps local students in need,” said Zack Stone, owner of Stone Press. “We hope everyone can stop by on August 4 with some donations and to enjoy delicious food!”

Current needs include:

  • Adult size socks and underwear
  • Women size 5 to 12 Briefs only
  • Men all sizes Boxer Briefs only
  • Socks for both men and women, ankle or no
    show preferred.
