Colby Defeats Saint Mary’s Springs for D6 Title: Game recap and complete Stats

Brent Jeske scored three touchdowns to lead Colby (13-1) to the Division 6 championship with a 22-7 win over former three-time defending champion St. Mary’s Springs (11-3) in the title game. He scored on the Hornets’ first drive with a 4-yard run at 10:02 of the first quarter. He added another score with 5:04 remaining in the first period on a 1-yard plunge. His third score of the first half came on a 63-yard fumble return for a touchdown early in the second quarter to give Colby a 20-0 lead.

WIAA Division 6 State Football Championship Preview: Colby vs Saint Mary’s Springs

The Ledgers’ only score of the game came with 3:42 remaining in the first half on a 52-yard dash by Levi Huempfner to cut their deficit to 20-7. Andrew Jeske capped the scoring with a safety with 4:27 remaining in the game.
