Claudine C. Blum-Hamus

Claudine C. Blum-Hamus, 92, Marshfield, passed away on Friday, March 26, 2021, at Stoney River Assisted Living, Marshfield.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 am on Friday, April 9, 2021, at St. John’s Catholic Church, Marshfield, where the family will receive relatives and friends from 9:30 am until service time. The service will be live-streamed at www.facebook.com/rembsfuneralhomes. Rev. James Weighner will officiate. Burial will be in Gate of Heaven Cemetery, Marshfield. Social distancing and masks will be required, please. Rembs Funeral Home is assisting the family.

Claudine was born on December 19, 1928, in Marshfield, to Walter and Clara (Weinfurtner) Radlinger and was a 1946 graduate of Marshfield Senior High School. She was united in marriage to Donald O. “Fritz” Blum on August 16, 1947, at St. John’s Catholic Church. He died on January 3, 1994. She later married Jerome H. Hamus on October 4, 2003, at St. John’s Catholic Church and he died on September 18, 2019.

In addition to raising her family, Claudine had been employed as a bookkeeper at Lloyd L. Felker Company, was business manager at Mid-State Truck Service, and was a real estate broker at Shong Realty, all in Marshfield. She was a longtime member of St. John’s Catholic Church and the Parish Council of Catholic Women. She volunteered at St. Joseph’s Hospital and was a member of Partners of St. Joseph’s Hospital. After retiring in 1991 she spent winter months in Lighthouse Point, Florida and was a member of Lighthouse Point Women’s Club. Besides her family she enjoyed spending time at Blockhouse Lake, doing crossword puzzles and playing sheepshead.

She is survived by her children Paul (Kathy) Blum of Sheboygan, Donna Hasse of Marshfield, Rodney (Alison) Blum of Keller, TX, and Stephan (Eve) Blum of Fond du Lac and a daughter-in-law Linda Blum of Marshfield.  She is also survived by 20 grandchildren and 22 great-grandchildren. She is further survived by brothers, Jerome (Betty) Radlinger of Dorchester, Charles Radlinger of Marshfield, and Wayne (June) Radlinger, of Winter, WI.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husbands, a son Phillip Blum, a brother Robert Radlinger, a sister Betty Gaulke and a sister-in-law Nancy Radlinger.

The family wishes to give special thanks to Stoney River Care staff who are amazing, nurse practitioners Sarah and Kris at Marshfield Medical Center Palliative Care, and nurse Josh from Heartland Hospice.

In Lieu of flowers, memorials may be designated to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
