As COVID-19 closes schools for the rest of the academic year, the Class of 2020 is getting creative in celebrating their upcoming graduation. Unique yard signs designed by local print shop Premier Printing can be customized with photos and by school to help commemorate the graduation milestone for area students.

“We thought this would be a great way for local students to get the recognition they deserve,” said Lindsey Rasmussen, co-owner at Premier. “The signs can be customized in many different ways and are just a fun way to celebrate the important accomplishment of graduating!”

As local students and parents have placed orders, signs have begun popping up around local communities.

“We wanted a senior sign to celebrate our son and his accomplishments,” said Leah Johnson, mom to senior Drake White-Bergey. “He’s worked incredibly hard to get to where he is and I felt that although school is closed and graduation postponed that we should have something to honor his hard work.”

“It has been rough,” added Johnson. “I’m hoping that seeing the signs in yards helps the kids feel a sense of pride in their hard work, despite not being able to be in school and celebrate traditionally.”
