City Street Repairs in 2019

Marshfield, WI (OnFocus) The Board of Public Works voted to award the bid for the asphalt paving projects in 2019 at its Monday meeting, April 15.

Overlay and mill-in-place projects are to be completed this year. The asphalt paving program budget is $1,920,000, with an additional $365,000 from unspent 2018 funds and a Wastewater Utility contribution of $65,000, for a total budget of $2,330,000 with 5% for contingency. The bid also includes $140,000 in citywide asphalt patching.

The city was able to advance several projects into 2019 because of favorable bid prices, the Wastewater and unspent 2018 funds.

These projects are:

24th Street – Hume Avenue to the cul-de-sac
28th Street – Washington Avenue to Butternut Parkway
Adler Road – State Street to 650’ west
Fillmore Street – Weber Avenue to Willow Avenue
Weber Avenue – Fillmore Street to Becker Road

Oak Avenue – 14th to Omaha
Peach Avenue – 14th to 17th
Upham St. – Chestnut to Oak

17th Street – Central to Maple
24th Street – Hume to Cul-de-Sac

Adams Ave. – 14th to 17th
Adler Road – State Street to 650’ West
Butternut Parkway – 17th to Tremmel Court
Edison St. – Palmetto to Hinman
Fillmore Street – Weber to Willow
Hickory Court
Hickory Lane – Adler to Schmidt
Hinman Ave. – Kalsched to Upham
Ives Street- Lincoln to Columbus
North Hills Ave – Upham to Wood
Omaha Street – Severns to Oak
Schmidt Ave – State to Ives
Severns Ave. – Arlington to Omaha
Weber Ave. – Fillmore to Becker
Wood Ave. – Upham to McMillan

The bid now goes to the Common Council for final approval at their April 23rd meeting.
