City Hall and Everett Roehl Marshfield Public Library reopening Monday, March 15, 2021 with precautions

Submitted to OnFocus – City of Marshfield Administrator Steve Barg announced City Hall and the Everett Roehl Marshfield Public Library are reopening their facilities to the public Monday, March 15, 2021.

Additionally, Parks and Recreation and the Senior Center located in the Community Center, Communications and Marshfield Media Access located in City Hall Plaza, Wastewater, Police, Fire and Rescue facilities are all currently open with coronavirus precautions set in place, along with adhering to the guidelines established by the state of Wisconsin. The Street Department will remain closed to the public except for deliveries and Marshfield Utilities will remain closed to the public at this time.

City Hall: Administration, Assessor, City Clerk, Development Services, Engineering, Finance, Mayor, Municipal Court, Public Works and Information Technology
• City Hall will be open M-F 7:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
• Five patrons will be allowed in the service area with social distancing in place. Additional space will be available in the main entrance area if needed.
• Patrons are requested to wear a face covering (mouth and nose).
• We encourage the use of our dropbox located outside of City Hall.
• A kiosk will be available in the service area for registering to vote and submit an application for a permit.

City Hall Plaza: Communications Department and Marshfield Media Access
• Open by appointment.
• Patrons are requested to wear a face covering (mouth and nose).

Community Center: Parks and Recreation Department/Senior Center
• Both areas are open from 7:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
• Patrons are requested to wear a face covering (mouth and nose).

Fire Department:
• The customer service window is currently open from 7:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
• Currently no tours are being allowed at this time.
• Patrons are requested to wear a face covering (mouth and nose).

Library:
• Library hours will be Monday through Friday 9 a.m. to 6 p.m.; Saturday 9 a.m to 5 p.m.; Sunday 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. Drive-up service will also be available during those hours.
• The number of patrons in the library building will be limited to 60 (25% occupancy when counting staff). Children age 10 or under must be in the immediate presence of a parent, sibling, caregiver, or other responsible person age 16 or older at all times while on library property.
• Staff are required to wear face coverings (mouth and nose) in public spaces, and we will require everyone entering the library to do so. Disposable masks will be available to those who have forgotten their own. Recognizing that wearing face coverings may not be possible in every situation or for some people, the Library will make reasonable accommodations for those requesting them. These accommodations do not include admittance into the facility.
• Seating and public computer availability is limited. Meeting rooms are closed to the public, and all programs will continue to be held virtually.
• No food or drinks will be allowed.
• The Twice Sold Tales bookshop will be open, but will not be selling coffee at this time.
• Staff will routinely clean high touch surfaces and circulated items will be quarantined for a minimum of 24 hours. With hundreds of visitors each day, the Library encourages individuals to take preventative measures such as frequent hand washing and limiting contact with non-family members to minimize public health risks in the library.

Marshfield Utilities:
• Currently closed to the public.
Police Department:
• The lobby is currently open from 7:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
• Patrons are requested to wear a face covering (mouth and nose).
• Fingerprinting is available for a fee M-F 8:15 a.m. – 2:15 p.m. and 3:15 p.m. – 4:15 p.m.
• No tours or ride-alongs at this time.

Streets Division:

• Streets is currently closed to the public except for deliveries.
• Tentative re-opening date is March 22, 2021.
Wastewater Division:
• The customer service area is open 7 a.m. to 3 p.m.
• Patrons are requested to wear a face covering (mouth and nose).
