February Collection Benefits Sweet Dreamz

(OnFocus) More children will have “sweet dreams” thanks to a Citizens State Bank of Loyal employee and community donation drive benefiting a local nonprofit.

Sweet Dreamz of Wisconsin provides area children who are removed from homes due to illegal drug activity with a pillowcase bundle containing new pajamas, a blanket, and a stuffed animal or book, since they cannot take their favorite outfit or stuffed animal with them when they go.

Citizens State Bank of Loyal collected items for Sweet Dreamz for the month of February and also presented $765.22 to the organization.

“The amount of items for Sweet Dreamz was incredible. There were numerous handmade blankets and quilts,” said Patti Hahn, Spencer Branch Manager. “It was amazing to see the generosity of everyone.”

A committee chooses a cause to support each month. “There are so many worthwhile non-profit organizations that need recognition for what they do every day,” said Hahn. “The majority of the funds do come from employees, but there is still a good amount of donations coming from the community.”

For the month of March, Citizens State Bank of Loyal will collect donations for Marshfield Area Respite Care Center.

Donations to Sweet Dreamz to help create bundles for children can be dropped off at R&R Flooring and Furniture at 312 S. Pacific Street in Spencer. Monetary donations can be made through Citizens State Bank of Loyal.
