Marshfield, WI (OnFocus) After a successful Kickstarter campaign to fund her clothing line, Cheiks founder Elizabeth Olson of Marshfield is ready for the next step.

The campaign exceeded its goal this week, raising $6,866 from 86 backers who pre-ordered products and helped bring the project to life.

“I’m really happy to meet the goal,” she said. “A huge thank you to everybody.”

Olson started her journey about three years ago, determined to design an underwear that women would find comfortable and beautiful. Cheiks will offer 27 sizes from XS to 5XL with variations in butt sizes to alleviate the common problems of underwear riding up or slipping down.

She said women are catching onto the idea.

“I have a lot of women that I think have just been uncomfortable for so long that they don’t even think of there being a better option,” she said. “People are excited after they figure it out.”

As her next steps, Olson will contact the manufacturer to place an order for her backers and order the fabric from Italy, a 2-3 month process. Any extra funds will be used to make pairs that will be available exclusively on her website, Cheiks.com.

Olson will be hosting a reception at her photography studio to ensure her backers order their correct size. The event will also be open to anyone who would like to see what the finished product looks like and ask questions.

More details will be posted to her Facebook page, Cheiks.
