OnFocus – At 7:08 a.m. the Central Fire Department, primarily serving Abbotsford, Dorchester and Colby, was dispatched to a house in the town of Unity.

By the time crews arrived, the home was engulfed in flames and smoke was billowing out of the property. Crews entered the structure and battled the flames and a “full extensive overhaul” was completed after the fire was put out according to a Facebook post by the department.

It was reported that everyone was OK but the home is a total loss.

The Spencer Fire Department, Owen-Withee-Curtiss Fire Department, Stratford Fire Department and the Marathon County Sheriff’s Department all assisted Central Fire in putting out the flames.
