Half Million Raised Toward $3 Million Goal

Marshfield, WI (OnFocus) A public capital campaign has launched for the Marshfield Outdoor Aquatic Center that will replace Hefko Pool at its current location.

More than $500,000 has already been raised toward the $3 million campaign goal, which will then be matched by the city through a challenge grant. The total cost of the project is $6 million.

Pledge forms are available at the City website. Donations are being accepted through the Marshfield Area Community Foundation.

Plans for the aquatic center include separate swimming areas, waterslides, climbing wall, lazy river, basketball hoops, water play structure, concession stand, game area party room, and reservable shelter. The new facility will have an extra 2,500 square feet of swimming space compared to Hefko Pool.

Construction is currently planned for August 2020 with a grand opening in June 2021.
