The Boson Company Awarded for Public Library Project

Each year, the Associated General Contractors of Wisconsin invite their members to submit significant and outstanding recent projects. As the leading professional trade association for the commercial construction industry, the association promotes skill, integrity and responsibility within the construction industry.

The annual Build Wisconsin Awards recognize and honor those chosen by a panel of industry experts recognizing craftsmanship, innovation, sustainability, and difficult challenges. This year, the Boson Company, Inc. has been again been recognized, this time for the construction of the Everett Roehl Marshfield Public Library.

Built to meet the needs of all ages with a safe, accessible, inviting complex where community resources, lifelong learning, technology use, social interaction, and civic engagement are a nurturing hub enriching Marshfield’s quality of life, the 2-story, 33,450 square foot 21st century library was financed through a combination of City dollars and privately raised funds.

A state of the art facility designed to meet the changing needs of the community now and well into the future, The Boson Company is proud to be recognized for their work on the project at the AGC BUILD Wisconsin Awards Ceremony on October 5th.

“It’s always nice to be recognized for a job well-done,” said Kurt Boson. “The Library is an excellent example of community spirit and a public-private effort to achieve something significant. It’s an honor to be involved – especially in our hometown.”

“When a public project finishes with a stunning result, ahead of schedule and under budget, it is easy to say that the community has received an outstanding value,” said Library Director, Lori Belongia. “That value would not have been achieved without the dedication, expertise and commitment of the Boson Company in the form of Joe Dolezal our Construction Manager, Dave Ehrike our Site Manager along with Kurt & Scott Boson and Doug Barnes and Dave Drews of Zimmerman Architectural Studios.”

With only fifteen New Commercial Construction Projects recognized throughout the entire state, this award is another significant accomplishment for the company.

“The Boson Company has been building projects in Marshfield for 85 years – this is another example of the great work our employees do every day,” said Boson.

“It takes a special team to engender the kind of problem-solving dialogue that I saw each week as the various contractors collaborated to time their work or make adjustments on our behalf for a better final result,” added Belongia. “It happened because of deliberate and intentional effort and came from a dedication to excellence.”
