Bear Sighted in Spencer

Spencer, WI (OnFocus) The Spencer Police Department said a bear was sighted in Spencer near East Clark Street and North Monroe Street.

“No need to panic, just bear with us on this,” the department stated in a Facebook update.

The department recommends bringing in garbage cans if possible and to pause filling bird feeders so that the bear moves onto other food sources. The bear will likely just be passing through.

“If you have outdoor pets, bring them and their food inside as well and maybe give your outdoor grill a good scrub,” police stated.
