Voting for the OnFocus Athlete(s) of the Week saw voters come out in support of top athletic performances. Taking the tile as OnFocus Athletes of the Week, October 9 to October 15 was the tandem of Alex Willfahrt and Sloan Welch of Auburndale Football, collecting 399 votes.
Second place went to Leo Brostowitz of Wisconsin Rapids Lincoln Football with 371 votes.
Jazelle Hartwig and Addison Lavicka of Athens Volleyball collected 281 votes, for third place.
Sara Mlodik of D.C. Everest Cross Country took fourth place with 190 votes.

OnFocus Athlete of the Week, October 9 – October 15
- Izzy Stricker, Waunakee Girls Golf / Ava Salay, Prescott Girls Golf – Stricker and Salay picked up medalist honors in Division 1 and 2, respectively, at the WIAA Girls Golf State Championships this week.
- Leo Brostowitz, Wisconsin Rapids Lincoln Football – The senior running back had a busy night Friday in Wisconsin Rapids’ 51-38 win over Menomonie. Brostowitz collected 339 yards on 25 carries, and had six touchdowns(2, 4, 40, 1, 3 and 1 yard runs.) Brostowitz tied a school record with his six scores, matching efforts from Matt Ironside(Wausau East 2001), J.R. Neuville(Marshfield 1995) and Steve Duval(Marshfield 1967.
- Sara Mlodik, D.C. Everest Girls Cross Country – Mlodik earned medalist honors Saturday at the Wisconsin Valley Conference Girls Cross Country Meet, with a time of 18.46.2, over 51 seconds ahead of her nearest competitor.
- Alex Willfahrt / Sloan Welch, Auburndale Football – Needing a win over unbeaten Colby in Week 9 to stake claim to a share of the Marawood Conference title, Auburndale defeated Colby 20-14. Leading the way for the Eagles was the 1-2 punch of Willfahrt and Welch. Willfahrt caught a pair of touchdowns and Welch led the Eagles in limiting the vaunted Colby offense to just 14 points.
- Jazelle Hartwig / Addison Lavicka, Athens Volleyball – As they have all season, Hartwig and Lavicka led Athens in assists(14,15 respectively) and kills (16, 15 respectively) as Athens defeated Edgar in the First Place matchup of the Marawood Volleyball Crossover. Athens heads to the playoffs as a #2 seed, hosting the winner of Port Edwards @ Rosholt, Thursday evening.
