Auburndale wins three titles, finishes sixth at home wrestling tournament

AUBURNDALE – Auburndale won three individual titles and finished sixth at its home Auburndale Wrestling Invitational on Saturday at Auburndale High School.

Abbotsford/Colby also won three weight class titles and finished first in the team standings with 431 points. Eau Claire North was second with 378.5 points, while Auburndale was sixth with 234. Eleven teams competed in the event.

Hunter Godard (126 pounds), Isaiah Hasenohrl (132) and Dylan Baird (138) won titles for the Apaches.

Hasenohrl earned a pin over Aiden McVicar of Eau Claire North in 54 seconds to take the 132-pound title and improve to 10-3 this season.

Baird is now 9-2 after beating Ryna Applebee of Tri-County in the 138-pound title bout, 3-2.

Auburndale will compete in a Marawood Conference dual at Stratford on Thursday.
