Auburndale softball pummels Chequamegon

PARK FALLS – The Auburndale softball team scored in six of its seven at-bats and had 18 hits in a 15-5 rout of Chequamegon in a nonconference game Friday.

Mackenzie Raab, Teryn Lau, Natalie Aue, Alexis Soppe and Faith Hafermann each had three hits for the Apaches (6-3).

Hafermann had three RBIs, Soppe drove in two and scored three times, and Raab had two RBIs and two runs scored for Auburndale.

Maggie Willfahrt pitched five strong innings to earn the win, striking out six.

Auburndale’s next game is Tuesday at Stratford.
