Auburndale girls basketball edges Edgar

AUBURNDALE – The Auburndale girls basketball team snapped a four-game losing streak as it slipped past Edgar 46-44 in a Marawood Conference South Division game Tuesday night at Auburndale High School.

The Apaches improve to 2-4 overall and 1-3 in the Marawood South, while Edgar drops to 2-4 and 0-3 in the conference.

Natalie Aue scored 12 points and had 10 rebounds, and Georgi Schmutzer hit three 3-pointers and scored 11 points for Auburndale.

Auburndale plays at Abbotsford on Friday as part of a girls-boys doubleheader. The boys game starts at 5:45 p.m., with the girls to follow at 7:15 p.m. Both games will be live-streamed on zaleskisportsshow.com.
