Auburndale baseball drops home game to Edgar

AUBURNDALE – Edgar broke a tie for third place in the Marawood Conference South Division baseball standings with Auburndale, beating the Apaches 7-4 on Tuesday at Auburndale High School.

Edgar led 5-1 after a three-run top of the third inning and went up 7-2 after six before Auburndale scored twice in the bottom of the seventh.

Colton Wright had three hits and Hunter Wright scored twice for the Apaches, who fall to 3-4 overall and 2-3 in the Marawood South.

Edgar is now 7-5 overall and 3-2 in the conference.

The two teams will meet again Thursday at Edgar.
