As we dive headfirst into the winter sports season, we have five worthy basketball players nominated for our Athlete of the Week. You can vote once per day until Friday, December 5th, at 5:00 PM.

Andrew Hoesser – Neillsville Boys Basketball – Andrew led the Warriors to a championship win at the Cranberry Classic Tournament at Assumption, averaging 27 points per game at the tournament.

Taylor Klingbeil – Medford Girls Basketball – Taylor has helped the Raiders to a 3-1 start to the year, averaging 24 points per game in those 4 games.

Mylo Albrecht – Northland Pines Boys Basketball – Mylo has been on a tear to start the season for the Eagles, averaging 19.7 points per game, including a 35-point game against.

EllaMay Cooper – Regis Girls Basketball – EllaMay had quite the weekend in Medford at the Kislow Memorial Tournament. Leading the Ramblers with 34 points in their win over Rhinelander and 24 points in their win over Crandon. Cooper is averaging 27.2 points a game to start the season.

Carley Pankratz – Stratford Girls Basketball – Carley is leading the Tigers in their 3-0 start that includes an overtime win over Assumption. She is averaging 16.7 points per game over that start.
