Wausau(OnFocus) – The Wausau West Warriors look to compete for a VFA Championship in 2021, no small task within a conference of storied programs. Head Coach Jason Foster took some time to offer a glimpse into this year’s Warriors Football Team:

Conference outlook
DCE will be the frontrunner as returning conf champs. Hortonville will strong and after that there will be several teams looking to break through as conference leaders (West, Marshfield, SPASH, Rapids)
Keys to your success on offense
Run the ball effectively and complement that with an efficient and consistent passing game. Our Offense will go where Colton and our OLine take us. We are also excited to see what Jack Berens can do at the QB position
Keys to your success on defense
Eliminate big plays and get off the field on 3rd down. That was an issue for us last season and thus we have worked very hard on our pass coverage/rush.
Behind the scenes: Who are some of the people that help your program succeed?
Every player in our program has a role from starter to scout team grinder and we attempt to ensure everyone knows the value and importance of their role. We have a coaching staff of 18 (FR-SR) with varying levels of knowledge and experiences that make it a special and extremely valuable group.
