Volleyball Highlights: Tigers Roar Past Chippewa Falls

The Tigers volleyball team will move on to play River Falls on Saturday.

Marshfield took care of Chippewa Falls in four games on Thursday. They lost the first game 25-22. After that they won the next three by scores of 25-13, 25-16, and 25-18.

The first game saw the Tigers go through some serving struggles which ended up costing them. They missed five total serves in that game.

They recovered nicely after that, as they only missed seven the rest of the night.
Hannah Meverden and Kati Sadowska each finished the night with three aces. Sadowska also converted 100 percent of her serves. Corianne Johnson also connected on 18 of her 19 serves.

The Tigers really went into attack mode after the first game. They finished the night with 48 kills.

Karly Nikolai led the Tigers with 15 kills. Madison Nelles and Lindsey Steffen also added 10 kills each.

The Tigers will face their one of their toughest matches on Saturday when they face off against River Falls. The Wildcats finished their season with a perfect 38-0 record. They are also ranked number nine in the state and 336th in the nation.

In addition to their perfect record, the Wildcats have an almost undefeated record in terms of sets. They are 85-3 in sets this year.
Saturday’s matchup will be in River Falls at 7 p.m.
