Spencer baseball loses at Loyal

LOYAL – The Spencer baseball team dropped a Cloverbelt Conference East Division game to Loyal on Tuesday, losing 6-2 at Loyal High School.

Loyal scored twice in the first inning and four times in the fifth to power past the Rockets.

Loyal improves to 8-5 overall and 8-3 in the Cloverbelt East to overtake Spencer for second place in the standings. Spencer drops to 8-5 and 8-4 in conference play.

Spencer had just six hits, three by Austin Bacon. Bacon and Chase Higgins each drove in a run for the Rockets.

Spencer hosts Gilman on Friday, while Loyal will travel to Greenwood.
