  • 11.29.18 at 8:30: A woman reported she was involved in a domestic abuse incident with her husband that she is separating from. Officer made contact with the suspect. He was taken into custody and was transported to the Wood County Jail. The suspect’s probation agent was notified. A request for charges will be sent to the Wood County District Attorney’s Office.
  • 11.27.18: Complainant reported that a customer from Minneapolis, MN requested service for a vehicle. The work was completed and payment was made through credit card transactions. Now the credit card transactions are being charged back as they were all declined. So far a monetary loss of $13,297.87 has occurred.
  • 11.27.18 at 16:40: The complainant requested MPD check the welfare of several animals that may have been left behind by the former tenant after she moved out. Police entered the property and found a cat, which the complainant did belong to the tenant, as well as a deceased guinea pig in a cage. Police spoke with the tenant, a 26 year-old Spencer female who state she thought the complainant was going to take care of the animals. The incident remains under investigation.
  • 11.27.18 at 9:57 (reported): Victim reported that two military style wool blankets were taken from her downstairs area. Victim states that no one except a window cleaning company and her family were in the downstairs. She does not believe that any family member took the blankets. Contact was made with the window cleaning company who denied any employee taking the blankets.
  • 11.26.18 at 14:15: A 64 year-old man reported an altercation that created a sense of fear to him from a 26 year-old Marshfield male. The 26 year-old was taken into custody and was unable to post the required bond. The 26 year-old was transported to the Wood County Jail and charges for disorderly conduct domestic enhancement will be sent to the DA’s office.
  • 11.26.18 at 1:09: The victim reported that her wallet was stolen when she had left it at the laundry mat. The owner of the laundry mat was able to show me video of the suspect taking the wallet. Still under investigation. $300 in cash was stolen.
  • 11.25.18 at 2:15: While on routine patrol officer observed two male individuals enter an unsecured storage garage in the alley on S. Central Avenue. When confronted by the officer to conduct an investigation, both male individuals fled on foot. Officers pursued on of the males into Elixir Night Club and the male was later identified as a 23 year-old Marshfield male. The male was placed into custody and transported to the MPD for booking. After booking was complete, the male was transported to the Wood County Jail on charges for resisting/obstructing officer and a probation hold.
