Pacelli edges Auburndale girls basketball in WIAA Division 4 regional semifinal

STEVENS POINT – The Auburndale girls basketball team’s season came to an end as the Apaches fell in a low-scoring affair to Stevens Point Pacelli 29-25 on Friday night in a WIAA Division 4 regional semifinal at Pacelli High School.

Pacelli (15-6) moves on to a regional final at undefeated Colby (23-0) at 4 p.m. Saturday. Colby roughed up Phillips 91-53 on Friday.

Auburndale’s season ends with an 11-12 record.

Auburndale put up 29 3-point attempts out of its 42 shots, making only four.

Georgi Schmutzer and Isabelle Hilber each had five points for the Apaches.
