Gregory L. Bodendorfer, 59, Marshfield, passed away on Saturday, September 29, 2018 at his home.

A memorial service will be held at 7:00 pm on Thursday, October 4, 2018 at Rembs Funeral Home, Marshfield with Deacon Ray Draeger officiating. A rosary will take place at 3:30 pm with the visitation being held from 4:00 pm until service time at the funeral home.

Greg was born on March 29, 1959 in Marshfield, Wisconsin to Andrew Jr. and Trudy (Fischer) Bodendorfer. He attended Spencer High School. After 20 years together, he was united in marriage to Patricia Welch Kaiser on March 22, 2018. He was a hay and straw dealer for 35 years before opening Clark Recycling in Neillsville with his son Dustin in 2011.

Greg was an avid antiquer. He loved hunting and fishing with his kids and grandkids. He was a quiet and thoughtful gentleman who never missed an opportunity to help someone. Everyone else came first to Greg.

He is survived by his wife, Patty; children; Dustin (Bethann Skattebo) Bodendorfer, Shannon (Shane Schober) Bodendorfer, and Chelse (Troy Smith) Bodendorfer all of Marshfield, Patty’s sons; Jay Kaiser of Frisco, Texas and Andre Kaiser of Appleton, and his grandchildren; Ty Schaefer, Garrett Bodendorfer, and Kayden and Hailey Anna Schober. He is further survived by his mother, siblings, Linda (John) Kiviko, Sandy (Jerry) Ertl, Kurt (Christine) Bodendorfer, Michael (Denise) Bodendorfer, and numerous nieces and nephews.

He was predeceased by his father.

The family would like to thank Dr. Fagbemi, 6 North nurses, doctors and staff, Dr. Claussen, Deacon Ray Draeger, and Ministry Home Hospice Program and nurses.
