EDGAR – Edgar finished off a season sweep of Auburndale with its second victory this week against the Apaches on Thursday.
Edgar scored five times in the third and added four runs in the fourth to beat Auburndale 10-5 in a Marawood Conference South Division game at Edgar High School.
Edgar is now 8-5 overall and 4-2 in the Marawood South, while the Apaches drop to 3-5 and 2-4 in conference play.
Auburndale led 4-1 before Edgar had the two big innings to pull away.
Cooper Weinfurter had two RBIs and Cody Trowbridge had two hits for the Apaches.
Auburndale is scheduled to play at Chequamegon on Friday.
