The dedication ceremony and ribbon cutting for the new Wenzel Family Plaza in downtown Marshfield is tentatively set for Wednesday, July 11, which falls during Farm Technology Days in Wood County.

Details are yet to be decided on, but prior to the ribbon cutting major donors will be given a VIP tour to go over the Plaza’s amenities. Donations for the project came from the Wenzel family, the Economic Development Board, a grant from the Wisconsin Economic Development Corporation, and the Marshfield Convention & Visitors Bureau.

The plaza event coordinator is Mark Davis, who will oversee the programming and operation of the Plaza.

Construction for the plaza began in September 2017 with completion set for July.
