Columbus Catholic boys basketball whips Owen-Withee, improves to 7-0

OWEN – The Marshfield Columbus Catholic boys basketball team won its seventh-straight game to start the season, easing past Owen-Withee 66-40 in a Cloverbelt Conference East Division game Friday night at Owen-Withee High School.

Bryce Fuerlinger scored 24 points and grabbed 18 rebounds in a dominating performance for the Dons, who are now 7-0 overall and 4-0 in the Cloverbelt East.

Owen-Withee drops to 2-4 and 2-3 in conference play.

Noah Taylor had 17 points, six rebounds and six assists, and Jarred Mandel added 11 points and five assists for Columbus in the victory.

Columbus Catholic will play Stevens Point Pacelli at La Crosse Aquinas on Saturday.
