Colby’s Oehmichen, Loyal’s Schley Win Regional Title; Colby Girls, Neillsville Boys Advance to Sectionals

Stratford (OnFocus) – Area runners fared well at the Division 2 Cross Country Regionals, with first place finishes coming from a pair of runners who’ve been dominant all season.

Savannah Schley of Loyal won the girls’ race, claiming first place by a second.

The Colby girls moved on as a team to sectional action.

Chase Oehmichen won the boys’ race in a time of 16:56, 15 seconds ahead of his nearest competitor.

The Neillsville boys advanced to sectional action, edging Colby/Abbotsford by four points.
