STRATFORD – Nutz Deep II/Stoney Acres Brewery and Sauter Rembs Funeral Home are league champions after title games were held Sunday night in the Stratford STAR Men’s Basketball League.
Fourth-seeded Nutz Deep II/Stoney Acres Brewery whipped No. 2 seed Oil Exchange & Auto Repair 77-55 in the A Division championship game. Cody Hanke scored 30 points and Jason Schupe added 20 for Nutz/Stoney Acres. Jake Scheppler led Oil Exchange with 23 points.
In the B Division title match, top-seeded Sauter Rembs Funeral Home defeated No. 2 Resource Recovery 59-41. Mike Riemer topped Sauter Rembs with 16 points. Kevin Spindler led Resource with 12 points.
