Athens, Greenwood, Marathon Secure 1 Seeds as Division 2-4 Baseball Brackets Released

SPORTSDESK – Athens (D4), Greenwood (D4) and Marathon (D3) highlight this year’s 2019 WIAA Baseball Tournament beginning on Thursday, May 23rd.

In Division 4, the Athens Blue Jays are the #1 seed in Sectional 2 and will play the winner of #5 Newman Catholic vs #4 Marion on Tuesday, May 28th.

The Edgar Wildcats check in with a #3 seed and have a home game vs #6 Tigerton on May 23rd.

The bottom half of section 2 gives us the #1 seed Greenwood Indians, they will play the winner of #4 Columbus Catholic vs #5 Port Edwards on Tuesday, May 28th.

Pittsville is the #3 seed and they host #6 Assumption Catholic on Thursday, May 23rd. The Loyal Greyhounds are the #2 seed and will host #7 Granton on May 23rd. You can watch Greenwood take on Loyal on May 17th at onfocus.news/sports with first pitch scheduled for 5pm.

In Division 3, the Marathon Red Raiders are the #1 seed in Sectional 2 and they will play the winner of #4 Spencer and #5 Auburndale on Tuesday, May 28th. The Pacelli Cardinals are the #3 seed and will host Tomahawk on Thursday, May 23rd. Stratford pulls down the #2 seed and will host #7 Nekoosa on May 23rd.
