Marshfield boys hockey routs WSFLG

MARSHFIELD – Twelve different Marshfield boys hockey players scored as the Tigers routed the WSFLG Blizzard 14-2 on Saturday at the Marshfield Youth Ice Arena.

Marshfield poured it on early, as six different players scored goals in the first period against the co-op team of Webster, Siren, Frederic, Luck and Grantsburg.

Peyton Smith, Evan Weister, Sawyer Schindler, Adam Maki, Dalton Havorsen and Ryan Krueger had goals in a 12-minute span to put the Tigers up 6-0.

The Tigers extended their lead to 8-0 on goals by Halvorsen and Ethan Meisser early in the second period before the Blizzard (2-5) finally tallied a goal.

Ian Haugen, Smith, Damyon Hains, Henry Hoerneman, Seth Peterson and Max Heller added scores for the Tigers with the game well in hand.

Marshfield hosts D.C. Everest in a Wisconsin Valley Conference game Tuesday at 7 p.m.
